SYNETECH SOLUTION W.L.L. («Assure», «we» or «us») is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the information entrusted to us. As part of this commitment, Assure is committed to the appropriate protection and use of personal information (sometimes referred to as «personal data») collected online. We comply with Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 30 of 2018.

What personal information do we collect?

We register your Internet Protocol (IP) address so that we can receive and send information from and to you over the Internet. When you visit our website, make an enquiry, order publications or request further information, you may be asked to provide some personal information such as your name, address, telephone number and email address.

How do we collect personal data?

Direct . We obtain personal data directly from individuals in a variety of ways, including obtaining personal data from individuals who provide us with their business card, complete our online forms, subscribe to our newsletter and preference centre, register for webinars, attend meetings or events we organise, visit our offices or apply for open positions. We may also receive personal data directly, for example, when we establish a business relationship, provide professional services under contract or through our hosted software applications.

Indirectly. We obtain personal data about individuals indirectly from a variety of sources, including recruitment services and our clients. We may attach personal data to our customer relationship management records to better understand and serve our business customers, subscribers and individuals, fulfil legal obligations or pursue our legitimate interests.

Public Sources. Personal data may be obtained from public registers (e.g. Companies House), news articles, sanctions lists and internet searches.

Social and professional networking sites: if you register or log in to our website using social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Google) to authenticate your identity and link your social media login details to us, we will collect the information or content required to register or log in. which you have authorised your social media provider to share with us. This information may include your name and email address and, depending on your privacy settings, additional information about you, so please refer to the privacy settings on the applicable service to indicate how much information you wish to share with us.

Business Customers. Our business clients may engage us to provide professional services that involve sharing personal data that they control as part of that co-operation. For example, we will review payroll data as part of an audit and we often need to use personal data to provide global mobility and pension services. Our services may also include the processing of personal data under the control of our clients in our hosted software applications, which may be subject to various terms and conditions and privacy policies.

Security

We have implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security to protect personal information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. Access to personal information is only granted to authorised individuals; such individuals have agreed to keep this information confidential.

Although we take appropriate security measures once we receive your personal information, the transmission of data over the Internet (including via email) is never completely secure. Whilst we endeavour to protect personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to us or by us.

Your legal rights in relation to personal data

Under local law, you may have certain rights in relation to the personal information we hold about you. In particular, you may have the legal right to:

  • To obtain confirmation of whether we are processing your personal data, to obtain a copy of your personal data and to obtain certain other information about how and why we process your personal data.

  • your personal data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected and processed, but are necessary for you to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
  • for a period that allows us to verify whether the legitimate grounds we rely on override your interests, where you have objected to the processing on the grounds that it is necessary for the realisation of a legitimate interest identified by us.

The right to object to the processing of your personal data in the following cases:

  • our legal basis for processing is that the processing is necessary for a legitimate interest pursued by us or a third party; or
  • our processing is for direct marketing purposes.

Right to data portability

The right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us and the right to send the data to another organisation (or ask us to do so if technically possible) where our legal basis for processing personal data is consent or the need to perform our contract with you and the processing is carried out by automated means.

Right to withdraw consent

Where we process personal data on the basis of consent, individuals have the right to withdraw consent at any time. We do not normally process personal data on the basis of consent (as we can usually rely on another legal basis).

If you believe that the processing of your personal data breaches the law, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection regulator responsible for compliance with data protection law in the country where you normally reside or work or in the place where you normally reside or work. where the alleged breach occurred.
